What is the difference between 304 stainless steel and 201 stainless steel?
The material of 201 is relatively hard, with a little rigidity, and it is relatively easy to crack. The nickel content of 304 does not rust, and it is resistant, and its fatigue resistance is much better than that of 201.
The difference between stainless steel 304 and 201 is as follows:
1. 304 and 201 stainless steel, the appearance is generally matte. Therefore, we can identify them by visual inspection and hand contact. To the naked eye, 304 stainless steel has a good luster and shine, and the hand contact is very smooth; In addition, wet hands with water and touch two stainless steel plates separately. After contacting, the water-stained fingerprints on the 304 plate are relatively easy to erase, and the 201 plate is not easy to erase.
2. Use the grinding machine to install the grinding wheel to grind the two kinds of plates quietly. When grinding, the sparks of the 201 steel plate are longer, thicker and more, while the sparks of the 304 plate are shorter, thinner and less. When grinding, the force must be light, and the two grinding forces are the same to facilitate the difference.
3. Use stainless steel pickling paste to separately apply and modify two kinds of stainless steel plates. After 2 minutes, look at the change in the color of the stainless steel where the correction is made. The color is 201 if it is black, and 304 if it is whitish or not discolored.

They have different components and different mechanical properties. The cost performance of 304 is better than that of 210.
The difference between 201 and 304 stainless steel
Generally, it is enough to care about the differences in three aspects.
(1) Differences in main components: 201 stainless steel contains 1-2% nickel, 304 stainless steel contains 8-10% nickel
(2) Difference in mechanical properties: very close
(3) Differences in corrosion resistance: 201 stainless steel has poor corrosion resistance, and 304 stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance.
