Key points of clamping and ring-pressing connection of thin-walled stainless steel pipes
As we all know, the specifications of thin-walled stainless steel pipes are DN15-150mm. When the nominal diameter is less than 100mm, the clamping or ring-pressure connection is mainly used; when the nominal diameter is greater than or equal to 100mm, flange connection is used.
The compression connection is a connection method for stainless steel pipes that is different from ordinary welding and threaded connections. It uses a special crimping tool to clamp the ends of the pipe fittings so that the ends of the stainless steel pipes and pipe fittings shrink at the same time, thereby achieving According to the connection strength and sealing requirements, the O-ring installed in the U-shaped groove at the end of the pipe fitting is used to complete the sealing again, so that the sealing requirements can be met.
The compression connection must comply with the requirements of "Stainless steel compression pipe fittings", "Thin-walled stainless steel pipes for stainless steel compression pipe fittings", and "Rubber O-ring seals for stainless steel compression pipe fittings". The clamping type connection construction machine is equipped with hydraulic clamps, pipe cutters, hexagonal gauges, wrenches, and bench drills.
The ring pressure connection method is a new connection method developed from the compression connection method. In some companies, 70% of indoor gas projects use ring pressure connections and 30% use compression connections. The advantages of ring pressure connection are reliable connection, less diameter loss, easy installation and beautiful appearance of the pipeline.
The end of the ring-pressure connector is designed with successive stable sections and sealing sections, with a stepped shape. Special hydraulic tools are used when connecting, and radial pressure is evenly applied on the circumference of the stainless steel pipe fittings, causing the stainless steel pipe fittings and pipes to It deforms to firmly connect the pipe fittings and pipes together, and at the same time compresses the size of the sealing section so that the silicone rubber sealing ring can completely fill the sealing cavity, generating two wedge-shaped seals and a cylindrical seal.
There are three main steps to install the ring pressure connection. First, cut off the pipe. That is, use a pipe cutting tool to cut the pipe to the required length. The end face of the cut must be kept perpendicular to the axis of the pipe, and the burrs must be removed. The second step is assembly. First, put the sealing ring on the pipe, then insert the stainless steel pipe into the pipe fitting directly to the bottom, and then install the sealing ring completely into the gap between the pipe and the pipe fitting. The last step is to perform ring pressure. The ring pressure can only be performed when the mark surface of the hydraulic tool jaws is consistent with the outer port surface of the stainless steel pipe fitting. When the module is completely closed and the pressure is stabilized for more than 3 seconds, the pressure can be released. This is considered the installation is completed.
